What stays in your browser
The extension keeps, only in your browser, the rules you set for each site (such as password length and version) and your preferences (language and the delay for clearing the clipboard).
The master password and the generated passwords are never stored: they exist only while the screen is open and are wiped from the screen and from the clipboard within the time you chose.
When you click the extension icon, it reads the address of the tab you are on, only to work out the site's domain and calculate the password. That address is used on the spot, in your browser, and is neither saved nor sent anywhere.
What the extension never does
It does not create an account, does not send anything to any server, shows no ads and uses no trackers. No information about you reaches whoever built the extension.
This site
This page uses no cookies of its own, does no visit analytics and loads nothing from third parties. The demo calculates everything in your own browser, with a public master password that serves only as an example.
Like any website, the server that hosts this page (rodrigoborges.dev) and its network provider may keep technical access logs, such as the time of the request. This site does not use them to identify you.
Chrome Web Store
The use of the information Vaultless Pass handles complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The master password, the address of the current tab and your per-site rules are handled only on your device: they are not sold, shared or transferred, and are not used for ads, credit decisions or anything unrelated to generating your passwords.
Voluntary support
The link to support the project goes to Buy Me a Coffee, a third-party service with its own privacy policy. Supporting is optional and changes nothing in how the extension works.
